The white Manjughosha displays the gesture of teaching with his left hand and the gesture of granting boon with his right. In both hands, he holds the stems of two lotus flowers blossoming near his shoulders, supporting the sword of wisdom (left) and the book of Prajnaparamita (right). A monk venerating him is depicted in the lower, right corner. A prayer is added in Tibetan. The Tibetan text reads: “dad gus tsam gyis ma rig rmongs mun kun / rtsad nas sel mdzad ’jam dbyangs dkar po yi / sku gzugs ’di nyid byams pa tshe ring gis / bar du bskrun dges ’jam dpal gnas thob shog.”
