This type of “Assembly Field” (Tib. Tshogs zhing) brings together the masters in the “Lam rim” transmission lineage of the Geluk school. The “Lam rim” is a teaching system and the short name of the work “A Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment” (Skt. Bodhipathapradipa) by Atisha dealing with the stages in the path to enlightenment as expounded by Buddha. The central position on such depictions is taken by Tsongkhapa. He is surrounded by teachers of the Madhyamaka and the Yogachara school, Tibetan scholars, tantric meditational deities of the different tantra categories, Buddhas, bodhisattvas, arhats, dakas, dakinis, dharmapalas and so on. For a detailed description, see Heimbel 2005a, 2005b.
