The golden Buddha Shakyamuni sits in deep meditation on a lotus flower. His right hand touches the earth and his left shows the gesture of meditation and holds an alms-bowl. The print that was later coloured has his designation “Shakya thub pa” written in the lower register. The consecration formula “Om ah hum” is written in black Tibetan letters on the back.
